Our mission is to bring together a collective of inspired and driven individuals who enrich one another and give back to the community through philanthropic events and experiences. Together, we can make our community, and by extension the world, a better place by inspiring people to help one another and fulfill their goals.

MEET JOELLE SMITH, FOUNDER OF
SHENOMA

While working as a remote stylist for a corporate fashion company, Joelle experienced a striking realization one night (which happened to be a powerful full moon)! She began to question life’s real purpose: following her bliss and putting her skills to work, in an environment she was called to create. Even though she was helping to share confidence through fashion with her work, she wanted to begin that work on a grander, yet more localized, scale.

She made a profound shift in her life and took a leap by creating SHENOMA, in order to combine her love of philanthropy, supporting the youth through styling services and connecting the talented community she was a part of, in her home of Sonoma.

Now she leads SHENOMA and sister brand Valley of The Bloom to connect through a collective that gives back, living out her true calling and values her “full moon ” inspired decision, daily.

SONOMA VALLEY STAR AWARD

Sonoma Valley Star Volunteer Awards, presented by Sonoma Valley Fund, was held Sunday, October 10, at Hanna Boys Center. Nominated by Teen Services/Boys and Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley in recognition for the clothing program I started in 2018, to help teens feel confident in an interview outfit. I think we are somewhere near the 200 mark of teens that have been dressed and I lost count of how many clothing events SHENOMA has hosted between pop up boutiques at the high school and Bon Marche Thrift Store. When the pandemic hit, all of the clothing collected by the community was donated to Bon Marche, where private shopping nights are held for the teens. This is such an important partnership with owner, Anna Bimenyimana.
